Fun Facts

Vocation Story

I have had a desire to serve as a priest since I was 8 years old. This desire motivated me to choose to attend the seminary high school even though I had the option of going to a science school. The support from my parents gave me courage. My formation has led me to seminaries in Nigeria, the United States, and Italy. These experiences have been grace-filled. I look forward to serving the people of God in Santa Fe.

Who or what inspires you to be a priest?

I was inspired by the late Bishop Valentine Ezeonyia who was the Catholic bishop of Aba Diocese in Nigeria. He was a dedicated servant who truly cared for the physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing of his flock.

Why Santa Fe?

I was led by the Holy Spirit to Santa Fe. I emailed the Vocation Director, who responded by inviting me over to celebrate Christmas. It continues to become clear to me that Santa Fe is my home as time progresses. I was welcomed and loved by the people. I look forward to ministering in Santa Fe for the rest of my life.
